Target, HGTV, the Gap, Lauderdale

Well, let's see. I finally start working tomorrow, and I'm getting a little bit nervous. Not necessarily for the job itself, but just a new routine and not being home so much. But it'll be worth it once I start getting paid again, that is for sure.

Hmm... my little bro (one of my closest friends of about 5 years now) was on TV yesterday, so Jess and I went over to his apartment to watch his debut. His landscaping crew was part of a project on a HGTV show called "Landscape Smarts." They called him the mason (he's not really) and a stone guru (he is pretty smart), and the show will be aired 12 more times. Then he made breakfast for everyone who came to see him. Jess and I stayed over there with his folks, sister, bro-in-law, and a couple of friends until about 2:30, talking, and then baking cookies Mr. Benedict's way.

And... Friday night Jess and I did a promotion for the Gap (looking to make a little extra $$) at the Hollidazzle (Sarah, I saw your sister, but didn't get a chance to say hi). It was a pretty disorganized event (our client is based in Atlanta and really had no idea what this market was like up here), but we managed, and ended up with a cute ensemble of gloves, a scarf and a hat - compliments of Gap's winter line this year, so getting paid for easy work plus freebies equals not a bad deal.

And today... I'm pretty much just hanging around, getting stuff in gear for tomorrow, running a couple of errands, and then heading over to Andy's so that my commute tomorrow isn't quite the headache it would be if I were commuting from CG.

I'm supposed to call my landlord on Thursday about getting the keys then, so there's a good chance I start moving this weekend! (In between the hours I'm putting in at River Oaks on Saturday and Sunday night...)

I think I'm going to learn to snowboard this winter.
