Wassail, Wassail
Dad took us to see Manheim Steamroller tonight at the Xcel, and it was fantastic! We first met Phil and Roxie (ma and pops's best buddies) at Bascali's in St. Paul (little pizza joint at Como and Snelling), had four delicious kinds of pizza (I had three pieces despite not feeling so hot and not being hungry at all), then we trekked down to the Xcel and saw one of the coolest shows I've ever seen.
That aside, I've been feeling like crap pretty much all day. I stayed in bed this morning when Andy left for wrestling, but could never fall back asleep. I was a teeny hungover from the wine last night, but the kind of sickness I'm feeling is NOT a hangover... So I tried to sleep for a couple of hours, but gave up when Andy called about 11 and wanted to go out to breakfast. So I mustered up enough strength to get dressed and meet him downstairs, then had breakfast at the Uptown Diner. Again, I was a little disappointed. I had a Denver Omelet the first time I went there and there wasn't any cheese on it, so it wasn't that great, and then this time, I had the Florentine Omelet which is swiss, tomato and spinach, but WAY too much spinach. But I felt a little better after eating, came back, helped clean up the beer cans from last night, and then laid down again. And again, couldn't fall asleep. So I just watched Dogma for about an hour, wishing I was sleeping. Finally, I left and came home to get ready to go out with the fam, which was kind of a struggle since my energy level was so low.
Anyway, enough whining about being sick... My NyQuil (I heart NyQuil) is kicking in, so I'm going to try to get some real sleep and hope that all my aches and pains are gone in the morning.
Also, today is Day 1 of 14 for my new toothpaste that's supposed to whiten while I sleep in just two weeks! We'll see.
Goodnight.
